Krauss Condominiums
All Star is proud to be part of the renovation of a downtown New Orleans landmark. The building, first opened in 1903, was home to the Krauss department store for more than 90 years. The historic building is now being converted to more than 220 apartments and condominiums plus ground floor retail space. This project is in line with New Orleans’ comprehensive strategic plan for revitalizing the downtown stretch of Canal Street, which specifically calls for the reuse of historic buildings as residencies. Our work entailed a $4.3 million contract to completely modernize the electrical service for the building and prepare it for its new residential and retail uses. Project completion is scheduled for the end of 2008.
